Friday bowling standings
Cleveland-These are the standings of the North Coast Bowling Association's Friday night bowling league at the end of play March 9.
The Friday night league is a fun social league with plenty of openings. No experience
is necessary. Bowling begins at 7 pm Fridays at Ambassador Superior Lanes, 1500 Superior Ave. in downtown Cleveland, and finishes by 9:30 pm.

Pool playoff standings
Cleveland-These are the results for the first week of the Shooters Pool League playoff tournament on March 12.
Regular play ended for the season on March 5, with Grid-Basement in the
1st place Grid-Basement beat 10th place Hamilton's 2nd place Tool Shed beat 9th place Club Argos
8th place Union Station beat 3rd place Apex
4th place Cocktails beat 7th place Leather Stallion 6th place Edge beat 5th place Grid-Orbit
lead. Other standings at that point are shown with the results. The playoff tournament continues weekly until finals on April 2.
This is the fourth season of an annual pool league which shoots on Monday nights from October through March. Although it is a semi-competitive league, all skill levels may compete as matches are based on individual handicaps. Play begins at 7:30 pm at the home team's bar, where four matches are played each week consisting of as many games as necessary for one player to win as many games as their handicap."

Spiked Heels, North Coast Twist, Argonauts top V-ball
Cleveland-North Coast Athletics Volleyball congratulates the team captains and members who have taken first place in each division at the end of regular play on March 11. They are Spiked Heels in the Intermediate Division, Captain Peter Taylor; Argos Argonauts in the Advanced Division, Captain Doug Anderson; and North Coast Twist in the Competitive Division, Captain Todd Saporito.
Playoffs begin this Sunday, March 18, from 11 am to 5 pm at the Cuyahoga Community College Metro Campus gym, on East 30th St. between Community College and Woodland Aves. in Cleveland. They conclude with championships next Sunday, March 25. Admission is free and open to all.
